Malaria Prevention and Treatment
Controlling and ultimately elimination malaria is a national priority for Cambodia. PSK’s malaria program compliments the public sector approach and has been operating at a national scale for the past 10 years. Through teams deployed across all the endemic provinces. PSK distributes malaria tests and treatments to registered private outlets who are trained and routinely supported through monthly on-site visits. In 2013 PSK launched two new programs. The first dedicated to collecting caseload data from the private sector. The second focused on providing services to workers employed on private plantations where malaria transmission is the highest.
Its main malaria program activities include:
- Malaria Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment
- Sales and Medical Detailing Program
- Provider training- Early Diagnosis and Treatment (EDAT)
